Journalist, History Specialist (UFF), Master in History (UFRGS), PhD in Communication and Information (UFRGS). Co-Founder and coordinator of FestFoto and coordinates the  International Portfolio Reviews Platform of  FestFoto since 2015.
Coordinated the team that developed the project of the Palacinho Cultural Center – Photo Library of Rio Grande do Sul.
Has research related to photography and urban reform, with a Case on the work of the Italian photographer Virgílio Calegari.
Interested in themes such as urban landscapes, environment and photojournalism.

Verónica Sanchis Bencomo is a Hispano-Venezuelan photographer currently based in New York City. In 2010, she graduated from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Photojournalism. As a photographer, her work has appeared in different international media such as, AFP, Bloomberg, Le Monde, Fortune, Monocle and Nature magazine.

In 2015, Verónica founded Foto Féminas – an online platform to promote the works of female photographers from Latin America and the Caribbean. To this end she has organized and produced exhibitions, lectures and photo screenings in Argentina, China, Chile, Guatemala, India, Mexico, Peru, USA and UK. In 2016, she started the Foto Féminas library which was created to continue her mission of celebrating and archiving photo albums of female photographers from Latin America and the Caribbean. The mobile library has been exhibited and displayed at different art institutions and book fairs in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

Verónica has been working with Latin American photographers since 2012 when she started interviewing photographers for different online and offline publications. Her passion for the Latin region continues to inspire her to continue researching and promoting the talent from this part of the world. She has served in many international competitions as a juror and nominee, such as World Press Photo (2022); Prix Pictet Award (2021); WYNG Foundation. Hong Kong (2020); Ballarat Int. Foto Biennial (2019); Latin American Fotografía 8. New York (2019); FotoEvidence W Award (2019), GuatePhoto Festival. Antigua, Guatemala (2015), among others.

Ioana Mello holds a BA in communication, an MA in art history from PUC-Rio and another in aesthetics and history of photography from the Sorbonne, and an MBA in art market from Sotheby’s, London. She is currently an independent curator between Brazil and Europe. She works with galleries, collectives and has participated in several exhibitions, screenings, roundtables and juries; as the group exhibition “What’s going on in Brazil? ” at Rencontres d’Arles festival 2019 and the project ” GH, Gal and Hiroshima ” at the same festival in 2022, “Terra Estrangeira”, Tryzy Lisboa gallery, 2021, Sony Award World Photography 2023 jury, among others. In Paris, he collaborates with the collective La.Ima and Iandé, the space Ithaque, the Photodays festival and is part of the BnF acquisition committee of Brazilian photography. In Brazil, she is a member of the coordination team of FotoRio festival since 2015, where she participates in the artistic programming, reading portfolios, curating exhibitions… She writes for websites and magazines, such as the French Fisheye and Wedemain, and is currently with two book projects in progress.

Isabel Gouvêa is a photographer, master in Visual Arts, curator, educator, researcher and manager of sociocultural projects. Active member of the FOTOBAHIA Movement from 1979 to 1986, organizing and participating in exhibitions, workshops and debates. She worked as a photographer for the inventory for the listing of the Historic Center of Salvador by the Instituto de Patrimonio Histórico da Bahia.
She worked for 30 years in the Multimedia sector of Teatro Castro Alves, documenting the artistic programming and directly following the TCA Ballet. In recent years, she has held two large individual exhibitions, presenting her extensive photographic research in important cultural centers in Salvador, São Paulo and Brasília. She has numerous works in the collection of Espaço Pierre Verger da Fotografia Baiana in Salvador.
She carried out the research, publication and curatorship of the Design Popular da Bahia exhibition, presented in Salvador, São Paulo, Barcelona and Milan. For 12 years, she coordinated Oi Kabum! Salvador School of Art and Technology, where he coordinated the Projects: Popular Festivals of Salvador and Dois de Julho: Popular Resistance and Identity in Bahia, and curated the exhibitions, presented in Cultural Centers in Salvador, Cachoeira, Barcelona and New Orleans . She currently coordinates the Education of the Museum of Modern Art in Bahia.
Elected as president of the 2019-2022 administration of the Network of Cultural Producers of Photography in Brazil – RPCFB.

Jim Casper is editor-in-chief and co-founder of LensCulture, one of the leading online destination for contemporary photography broadcasting around the world. As an active member of the contemporary photography world, Casper organizes annual international photography events, travels around the world to meet photographers and review their portfolios, curate art exhibitions, writes about photography and culture, lectures, conducts workshops, serves as a jury international and nominator for major awards, and is an adviser to arts and education organizations. He is on the board of SPE, the Society for Photo Education, the world’s largest association of photography educators.

Uruguayan born in 1971, photographer Daniel Sosa was one of the creators of the Photography Center in Montevideo, where he has been director since 2002. Institution dedicated to the diffusion of photography in Latin America, the center maintains a collection of more than 100,000 historical photographs of the period between 1840 and 1990, and more than 30,000 contemporary images from 1990 to the present day. One of the editors of the magazine Sueños de la Razão, he permanently coordinates six exhibition halls where he works with contemporary photographers from Uruguay and other countries are exposed. It also produces a weekly television program, f / 22, dedicated to the reflection and promotion of photography. The CdF organizes the International Photography Festival “MUFF” over a period of three years, of which Daniel Sosa is the director.

Bacharel em Letras pela UFRJ, pesquisadora, curadora e conservadora de fotografia. Em 2006, inaugura a Galeria Tempo com Carolina Dias Leite e Georgiana Basto, em atividade até 2014. Em 2015 foi diretora-curadora da Marsiaj Tempo Galeria (RJ). Nesse periodo, além de organizar inúmeras exposições, participou como expositora das feiras SP/ARTE e ART/RIO. Entre suas atividades mais recententes, destaca-se a co-curadora das exposições “Kurt Klagsbrunn, um fotógrafo humanista no Rio (1940-1960)”, “Rossini Perez, entre o morro da Saúde e a África” e “Ângulos da Notícia, 90 anos de fotojornalismo em O Globo” no Museu de Arte do Rio todas em 2015. No Centro Cultural da Justiça Federal, curou a mostra “Tempos de Chumbo, Tempo de Bossa – os anos 60 pelas lentes de Evandro Teixeira” (2014) e na Galeria do Espaço SESC, “Deveria ser cego o homem invisível?”, fotografias de Renan Cepeda (2015).

Como pesquisadora, participou das exposições e livros: “Alair Gomes – A new Sentimental Journey”, Cosac Naify, 2009, e “Caixa Preta – fotografias de Celso Brandão”, Estúdio Madalena, 2016, ambas com curadoria de Miguel Rio Branco e exibidas na Maison Europeenne de la Photographie em Paris. Em 2015, participou do livro “Milan Alram”, edições de Janeiro e Bazar do Tempo, de Joaquim Marçal.

Autora dos livros “Só Existe um Rio”, Andrea Jakobsson Estúdio (2008) e “Refúgio do Olhar, a fotografia de Kurt Klagsbrunn no Brasil dos anos 1940”, Casa da Palavra (2013) ambos em parceria com Mauricio Lissovsky.

Participou da implantação do Departamento de Fotografia do Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, onde foi curadora entre 1988 e 1997. Prestou serviços para instituições públicas e privadas como o Centro de Conservação e Preservação Fotográfica da FUNARTE e o Arquivo Nacional. Desenvolve projetos de pesquisa e curadoria. Em seu escritório TEMPO, dedicado exclusivamente à fotografia, representa o trabalho de fotógrafos modernos e contemporâneos.
